I have been working in massage therapy for over a decade, am registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario. I have extensive experience in a variety of massage styles and techniques, including Swedish, myofascial and positional release, NISA, neuromuscular, muscle-energy, joint mobilizations, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, kinesiology taping, trigger point work, pregnancy massage, reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai, hot stone massage, and aromatherapy. Over the years, I’ve thrived in a variety of different massage settings, such as relaxation spas, heli-ski lodges and RMT clinics. I’ve also worked in specialty clinics such as Sutherland Chan’s Breast Clinic, Princess Margaret Hospital’s palliative care unit for cancer patients, and Lyndhurst Hospital’s Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Program. These experiences gave me further insight into how I can be of service to my clientele regarding pain management, the reduction of scar tissue, improving strength and mobility post-injury and -surgery, and the ongoing process of healing both the body and the spirit during times of crisis. My work as an RMT is also furthered by my training as a birth doula, courses pertaining to breastfeeding, and a 200-hour yoga teacher training course with Open Source Yoga. I strive to incorporate my widespread knowledge and expertise into each treatment in order to support and empower my clients as effectively as possible.
